Eric has spent over 40 years in education, starting his teaching career in Liverpool and finishing
as Director of New English School, Kuwait. Eric was an active speaker and contributor on
international education. In 1988, he was the recipient of the prestigious European Council of
International Schools award for the Promotion of International Education.
Eric is a qualified UK School inspector. As CEO of QTS International Consultants, Eric led
inspections, oversaw the appointment of school leaders and teaching staff and initiated the
development of School Professional Development networks in the MENA region where he also
served as an advisor to the boards of several schools.
In 2009, Eric partnered in the launch of TFL (Teaching Future Leaders) Education Ltd. Eric was
the senior writer of a suite of 9-18 courses that encouraged the development of character, the
promotion of values and the importance of self-management.
TFL’s curriculum was recognised by the Royal Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This led
to Eric becoming a Chartered Fellow (FCMI CMgr) and an invitation to represent the Royal
Charter as “Ambassador for Education”.
Eric is one of the founding partners. Eric’s prime role is editorial. He is responsible for the
content of all publications. As an author, he has also made a major contribution to the
Academics series of Classic Readers.
has been involved in the field of education in the MENA region since 1999. Khaled
has unrivalled knowledge of the changing needs of schools and their teachers. He has been
extensively involved in book publishing; commissioning authors and editors to create books
that answer these needs. When choosing his catalogue, Khaled assiduously researches titles to
ensure that they are pedagogically and culturally suitable for the region. Eric Liddell and Khaled
have enjoyed a long friendship since their first meeting in 2009. A shared interest in the
direction of education has been at the heart of their relationship. This ongoing conversation
paved the way for their decision to establish a UK based publishing house that would offer
culturally appropriate British books to the MENA schools market. A decade after that first
meeting, their dream became reality.
